Day 10 Card 1

I did two cards with the same technique this time. Basically it is the same card just done in two different ways. The class for today was all abou making boarder stamps the star and this boarder stamp just went so well with the Tilda I was given that it all came together very easily.

I got a lovely parcel from a good friend yesterday and in it I found my very first wee Tilda stamp so of course had to have a play and use it for the two cards. Here is the first one. I added some rough drawn in lines to outline the heart just to make it pop a little more on the card.

Day 9 Card 2

I have been flipping past this set of stamps so many times this week as I had not used them before and wanted to. This technique seemed perfect to use with these flower stamps. So here is a very simple card (yeah I can’t believe I did more fussy cutting either lol)

Day 9 Card 1

I am not going to lie and say oh this was super easy. The amount of fussy cutting to mask was a (insert a curse word here). However thanks the the technique video from Class I finally understand the whole layered stamping/Masking thing and as I have read about this in the past and looked at stuff and been lost have to say that is a major achievement in itself.

I did however muck it up when I slipped and pink smooch accents went somewhere it shouldn’t and would not be removed. My first attempt to cover it with a matchingly painted piece of Neenah well it looked tacky so instead of putting my sentiment over the water like I had planned I put “Have a Magical Day” over the boo boo and viola no one would ever be the wiser. I was reluctant to waste all my work over one small boo boo. I added a little glossy accents over the sentiment and inked the edges just so it stood out a little from the background. I also smeared triple thick over the water (one of my fav new things to do) to give it a glossy water like sheen.

ok enough rambling here is the card (I soo love the Midnight fairies stamps they are so versatile not only did I use the fairies but also the mushrooms and grass from the set)

Day 8 Card 1

Am so happy I can finally post this card. Day 8 is all about Label stamps and sadly It appears I only have like 2 of them and one of them is AWOL (wish I could remember where I put my wood mounted and teeny stamps), However I loved the technique so much that I had one of my flashes of inspiration while flipping through my stamps and this card was born.

Lots of Kaiser Both the Frame and the Sweet Nothings collection. Have to say I am stoked with how this turned out. Appart from my not quite getting the centre straight (think crooked things are my trademark because no matter what I do they seem to happen)

Anyway here is the card:

Day 7 card 2

YAY all caught up (well sort of). So many techniques with flower stamps, I really do not have that many flower stamps and could not find the stamp I super wanted to use. However sometimes that can be a good thing. I found a set of Buzz and Bloom clear stamps that to be honest I was on the fence about. They were in my stash but I was not sure I was going to keep them. We ell they are most certainly staying in my stash.

I stamped the image in a chalk ink (one colour the green) then I stamped the images again on some cardstock and fussy cut them out. Stamped in a brilliance ink. I really love how sweet this card turned out and will be using this stamp set more often.

Day 7 Card 1

Not quite sure I am great with the whole markers thing, not sure if it was the jac paper, the zig writers or just my inability to blend very well that makes this card one I am not to happy with in terms of the blending of colours and shading. Interesting technique though not sure it is one I will use again in a hurry.
