I don’t own any of the stamp and die cut sets at present but I was so inspired by the techniques I just had to try two of the cards. So I used my Brayer with some versamark watermark ink and inked over the top of my butterflies, not quite the same as stamping but I quite liked what I created with the technique. I loved learning how to cut a shape out of the side of a card for this one. Much easier than it sounds btw.
Well there is a card 2 but I lost an element and was kind of over it for the evening so will finish it and upload it tomorrow. The accordian fold card gave me a wonderful opportunity to use some inside and outside card stamps I have.
I loved doing my own Acetate background especially as it gave me a chance to play with A very Deco Looking Buzz and Bloom Stamp Set I have. Love the torn washi tape boarder, I have used it in the past and it gives a kind of funky distressed look with so very little work (has the added benefit of making your washi tape go further as well)
Love how many new Ideas and things to do with Alphabet stamps. I am so happy with this card I may well turn it into my Chrissy Card this year. I chose NOEL as my word instead of a Name simply because it was easier and I wanted to play with some Christmas Stamps (you can see how tired I am considering I posted in the wrong order)
Now you will notice for the most part I have been aiming for two cards a day from the Stretch Your Stamps Classes. This is because there is a multitude of techniques and ideas in each class and I honestly just do not have the time to do them all. So figured I would pick two that I had Ideas for and Run with them.
This was a technique where you double emboss . I used Die Cut flowers, and then stamped the gold flower over the top after I embossed them.
I loved the pieced together background however when I saw it I immediately thought of my cuttlebug nesting hearts die. So I stamped my cardstock with a kaiser music note background and here is my take on the Card. Appologies in advance for the glut of blogs you are about to recieve, Just catching up after this lot it should drop to just a couple a day for the rest of the week 🙂
I am another Card Down Yay (about like 30 to go seriously behind in my homework as such it is going to be a very very busy weekend of card making to catch up.)
Being me you know that I can not just copy or slightly tweak what we are learning in this awesome class (seriously $22 well spent).
So instead of cutting out a rectangle space I did a flower. I also gold leafed the edge (for anyone who is like erm I thought you were a budget crafter how can you afford gold leaf try looking for gold leaf internationally on ebay. My sister and I went halves in 500 sheets of 4″ squares so I got 250 of them for around $10-15(including post I always add in the postage costs to my purchases otherwise some things are just not the bargain they appear to be) and I have been using them for a few years now and have yet to even come close to running out so a great group buy as such).
So enough rambling here is another Card (I will admit that card making is not my specialty however I am rather pleased with the end result of this one)
I love this technique and could not wait to play with it. Today is all about Collage Stamps and whilst I really do not have many it was fun to play around with this card while watching cupcake wars last night. I love how much I am learning from Stretch your Stamps all the new techniques and stuff and can not wait to play more. Yes there will be a ton more blog posts! when I do that is.
