SYD Day 5- Card 3 and Day 7 – Card 2 Combined

I had an idea for a shaker card, and then as I was doing it realised it combined two lessons into one. Though I did not use alphabet dies.

I had to die cut the shaker bits as I do not have any here atm. Enter some itty bitty dies I have had in my stash for a while and viola a Shaker Card

Ingredients: Sizzix Alterations Skull Blueprint, Archival Jet Black Ink, Lifestyle Crafts Plastic Sheet, Memory Box Dies in ‘Mini Clouds’ and ‘Grim Cauldron’, CC Designs Die ‘Mini Bats’ Paper Accents Pearlised Paper in Baroque(Mostly leftover bits from my card the other day)

SYD D Day 3 – Card 3

Soo I am falling a bit behind, however today was one of those hours and hours sorting and putting away craft supplies kind of days (Thank Goodness for the Game of Thrones Season 3 Marathon). Though I did Manage to do this Day 3 Card

Ingredients: Sizzix Triplets Balloon Die(Heart), Memory Box die Sideshow Tickets, Big Shot, Memory Box Modern Cloud Cover Stencil (I need to practice the layering clouds thing most of mine seem to have got a bit lost), Ink Blending Tool, Distress Water Colour paper, Hero Arts Stamp Set ‘Happy Day Animals’, Archival Ink in Jet Black, Doodlebug Twine in Cupcake, and Nail Art Nail heads (I think they are called).

SYD Day 3- Card 1

I will def be using this technique again though I did tweak it so I wasted Less cardstock (it is the budget crafter in me I like to make the most of what I have)

Ingredients: Chameleon Colour Tones Markers (I am still getting used to using these). Little Darlings Stamps in ‘Born to shop’ and ‘Girls Rock Sentiments’
Archival Jet Black ink, White American Crafts Cardstock, Score Board, and a Bone Folder

I was so happy that I got this one first try I honestly did not think I would.

Items Used: Melissa Francis Tape, Archival Jet Black Ink, WRMK/Lifestyle Crafts Square Doily Die (from the nesting set), Sizzix Casual Greetings stamp and die.

12 Tags of 2014- October

As always a The amazing Tim Holtz Tag

I had so many ideas for this when I started and they all sort of flooded out of my mind when it came time to put the tag together.

So you get a scaled down more simple version. Using Mostly Tim Holtz and Ranger products with a little Fairy Dust glitter sprinkled in for good measure (actually I decided the tag lacked sparkle)

I was so excited when I saw this Months tag Tim Holtz is really bringing some colour and fun into the tag this month with what is a huge symbol in my life Butterflies. And better yet I actually had all the right product to do my own take on this months tag.

I am super happy with how it turned out, the only thing being that the pic does not show up the Alcohol Ink background technique,

When I saw the original tag I knew I had to have a play, making fluttering butterflies has been a staple of my crafting since I first began my tentative steps into the wonderful world of papercrafting. In fact I was heartbroken last year when my favorite butterfly punch (I own very few punches as I really do not use them much but this one I used a lot) died it was only $2 and I got a good 8 years out of it so not to bad at all anyway The New Butterfly frenzy die makes me very happy as it is much easier to use than a punch and gives loads of shapes and sizes.

So here is my Tag, I decided I wanted to use my New French Flight Framelits and Stamp Set and so below is my take on this Months tag 🙂

I really love this technique it looks so beautiful and is so simple and easy.

 

12 Tags 2014 Edition

And gasp shock horror yes I know I am actually doing tags this year, though I also have an otp based on the same embossed foil tape technique as well to share in my next post.

As always  Mr Holtz’s tag is awesome.

Though my Stash has grown considerably re his products I still do not have loads of the things he used.

My Foil tape is from a roll I got off ebay, the numbers are from the ‘Say it’ stamp set I got for chrissy, (though the siloutte is one of his remenant rubz) and my pocket watch is from the x cut dies Pocket watches set 🙂

Of course I used diff quotes and chit chat words.

And some watch Parts however for the most part I used the same sorts of techniques. With the exception of the splatter and the stenciled background. My little dots are made with one of the Tim stamps I have.

And so the journey begins for another year. You may wonder why I don’t add loads of ribbon and bits to the tops of my tags, honestly I like a clean look and it just feels a bit messy and cluttered to me to do so.
