SYD Day 6- Card 3

Have to say I started with a completely diff idea for this card and then flipping through my dies I found the graveyard boarder die and remembered I had the witches die and the idea was born. I am sharing both versions of the Card the blinged up starry sky version and the plain not sure which I like better tbh.

I would change a couple of things like adding the witches into the technique. But as always live and learn

Ingredients: Lifestyle Crafts Dies ‘Graveyard Boarder’ & ‘Witches’, Liquitex Iridescent Medium (I love this to add a pearl type shimmer to things as I had no white pearlised paper this worked well to make the moon blend into everything else), Paper Accents Pearlised Paper in ‘Baroque’ and ‘Gems’, Thermoweb Foam Squares.

And 2mm Nail Art Rhinestones (well worth looking for on ebay I scored 20k for $4 which is a total bargain you can get bigger sizes I like the 2mm for doing hand blinged flourishes and what not. Totally a bargain crafter’s dream)

SYD D Day 3 – Card 3

Soo I am falling a bit behind, however today was one of those hours and hours sorting and putting away craft supplies kind of days (Thank Goodness for the Game of Thrones Season 3 Marathon). Though I did Manage to do this Day 3 Card

Ingredients: Sizzix Triplets Balloon Die(Heart), Memory Box die Sideshow Tickets, Big Shot, Memory Box Modern Cloud Cover Stencil (I need to practice the layering clouds thing most of mine seem to have got a bit lost), Ink Blending Tool, Distress Water Colour paper, Hero Arts Stamp Set ‘Happy Day Animals’, Archival Ink in Jet Black, Doodlebug Twine in Cupcake, and Nail Art Nail heads (I think they are called).

SYS2 Day8- Card 5

I think this turned out pretty with the addition of some paper string I got at a local cheapie shop. The Sentiment says Happy Valentines day in teeny writing so not the easiest to see.

I love the Kaiser stamp I used for this. I think it turned out to be a rather pretty card

I really was not sold on this until I pulled off the black bit and changed the sentiment. A lot brighter and bolder than my usual stuff

I tried the Ranger Specialty Stamping paper for the first time, it is rather nice for the blending thing

I did this a little diff to the class tutorial by using the new Distress Watercolour Paper with distress inks that I misted lightly with water before I stamped and blotted off the excessI really like the result

I got the Viva Las Vegas Superman stamp about a month ago and have been itching to have an excuse to use it. I combined it with the Paper Smooches Super Hero stamp set and also a background I Made for the online card class Stencilled.

 

I think you will agree it turned out pretty damn awesome!

 

SYS2- Day 5

I know this blog will skip around re order of the Class. But that is me all over go where the inspiration is strongest.

I really loved this technique, though it did highlight that I really need to add some more coloured embossing powder to my collection.
