Another Birthday Card

This time for my Sister.

I was really happy at how this one turned out, her favourite colour is Purple.

This is my first time playing with Dylusions Ink sprays and what I really loved most was the effects you could create and that you can blend colours without loosing the colour integrity of either colour was fun to experiment especially on the leaves.

The Dies are Tattered Banners, Tattered Pinecone, Butterfly Strip Die, and Susan’s Garden Window Box.

I also added a little bling and a random word stamp as well as a SeeD’s Happy Birthday stamp stamped in weathered Wood

You do not want to know how long this took me to do, as it was not planned beyond the window box die though I am really happy with how it has turned out. There was a little home made pearl mist used as well as you can see from the sparkle. Not the best Pic as I recently figured out I had my camera on the wrong settings. All sorted now 🙂 thank goodness

A Birthday Card

Tiana Card

Forgive the pic I struggle to get good photos with Acetate. This is a card I made for my youngest Nieces Birthday earlier this month.

I used Kaisers Wonderland Acetate hand coloured with Alcohol ink. Add in a home made misted background, and a die cut happy birthday and viola a card is born.

I have to say in all honesty I was not 100% happy with it but as my niece absolutely loved her card I am happy she loved it :).

A Birthday Card

I recently had one of those moments of Panic, you know the ones someone important has just have a birthday, you are seeing them the next day and have zero inspiration on what the to do for their card.

It is one of the reasons I love Splitcoast Stampers I can always turn to them for a tutorial and indeed I found an idea to play with called Layered Stamping.

I don’t really have a lot of big background stamps as yet so chose a Hero Arts Clocks one that my sister gave me for a pressie last year. Along with a technique Tuesday butterfly

and here it is my first attempt at layered stamping

I kept it pretty simple and was surprised at how quickly it came together. I am sure I will have a play with this technique again at some point.

Happy Birthday to me = New Stash

And boy did I get spoilt namely by my sister and nieces and my friend Catharine when it comes to craft supplies (I also got money off my mum which sadly went to new clothes and not craft supplies and some shoes off a friend)

First of all (not pictured) Catharine sent me a set of rectangle nesting dies from M Press, some of the new Mirrored sheeting, and two of the Tim Holtz ATC rubber cling stamps as well as all of this:

and from my Sister and nieces I got all this

I have been so busy with other things such as an Art Workshop and wedding place cards for a friend that I have not had a really good play with it all yet but be assured I will.

I got so much Idea ology and Tim stuff how could I not feel totally spoilt.

A special Birthday Card

It is my Mothers Birthday on October the 13th she will be 65 and I can post a picture of her card here early because well she doesn’t use the internet or computers so it is safe. I will be popping this in the post next week.
I used a tutorial from Splitcoast Stampers. for a concertina fold card. To look at it it looks a bit complex and fiddly but as with all the tutorials I have used so far from Splitcoast Stampers it was a lot easier than I expected. My only edge die at present is scalloped and they were just a little to big for the card so I ended up using my first attempt as a practice one and then Made this one using Kaiser Bonjour Papers, some nestabling (see my prize post), A Fiskars birthday stamp, and some die cuts that you get in the Tattered Inspirations Card Kits.

And so here it is my Mums Birthday Card (I also wanted it to be a bit special as she is always anti me buying her presents her reasoning is there is nothing she needs and she has no need of stuff for the sake of it)
