Stretch Your Stamps

I am so behind on this class at present though I have made a card from each of day one and day two’s myriad of techniques.

Here is my first Card (this was sent to a friend who is expecting)

Photobucket

I used Clearly Wordsworth Baby Stamps
Stampendous Floral Background Stamps
Rhinestones both from my stash and Kaiser
Cut and Dry Foam (I dont have the felt but it is on my wishlist I can see why the felt is far better for a rainbow technique)
M Press Heart Die
Distress Re-Inkers in Various Colours
Picked Raspberry Ink Pad
KnCo Best of Brenda Walton Paper Pad
CS From Stash

Pearl Embossing Powder ( mine has always created flecks of white and I quite like the effect)

I will be dedicating my weekend to catching up on as many of the techniques as I can as it has the added benefit of building up a nice stash of cards.

Layouts from ‘the Vault’ final Part

Just a few more to share with you all and then it is on to new adventures 🙂

Something a little yellow and sunshiney. My Doodle geenies always get a workout even now I still use them as they make great sewing and bling templates and have limitless possibilities on layouts and cards.

Ellen and Elizabeth

I love puppy Noel as I had a lot of pics that were full of empty bits of space or stuff that I did not really want to use so cut them into shapes for this one (perhaps it should have gone in the Christmas post but I must have missed it. A technique I really love is to colour chipboard or wooden embellishments, add some embossing powder heat it and then press stamping foil over the top for a sort of vintagy old worn look with a bit of added sparkle.

Puppy Noel

My Favourite Teacher was created for a step by step. I wanted to show how easy it can be to deconstruct a piece of patterned paper with a bit of fussy cutting while still allowing for whoever did the step by step to add their own touches and extra embelishments and such.

Mr Chiradia

and lastly not a perfect layout by any means but a bit of fun 🙂 me as a pirate

Beautiful Bubbles

I was recently lucky enough to receive a little extra cash from my Mother. Whilst most of it went to bills and such I did get to buy some of the supplies I have been wanting.

I found an amazing mulberry paper flower seller on eBay and spent $36 to get 496 assorted flowers and 50 leaves and that included postage. I love the prima and Kaiser and other paper flowers but cannot justify spending so much money on one item when every craft dollar counts.

For me I use the flowers for more than cards .and scrapbooking, if you look at my bear posts you will see a flower fairy with a circlet of roses, and a flower on her hand that I made using the flowers I received. I don’t hesitate to use them because they were cheap. So I don’t feel like I have to hoard them for just the right occasion or layout.

Clustering is something I am not good at, and perhaps in part that is because I have not had the materials to make it so.

So here is Bubble trouble a layout that uses Pink Paisley Butterfly Garden paper and Kaiser Bonjour Paper, hand misted paper flowers (in vintage velvet, worn lipstick and dusty concord. Handmade mists of course), and some lettering embossed directly onto the page.

So here is my 2nd attempt at clustering

I also invested in the KnCO Best of Brenda Walton Stack no brainer really 150 papers for $34 Inc post off Amazon. A great way to get more variety at a bargain price. 2 sheets of each design. I saw this paper in the stack and immediately thought of the photos of a friend’s son Rory. I really like the simplicity of this one as the paper is so lovely it would be such a shame to clutter it up to much.

So here is Beautiful Boy Rory

and that’s all there is there isn’t anymore layouts for now
